South Africa Fifa World Cup 2010 is over!!

Everyone life can resume now. No more sleeping at 5 in the morning.
Spain win the World Cup for the 1st time. (At last a bright shining star on the jersey)



The Final game this morning between Netherlands and Spain was a abit underwhelming. Final game is always like that as both team have too much pressure and don wants to make mistake. When there nerves, missed chances will happen. Golden Boot contender David Villa was one of them.

The biggest disappointment for the Final Match is not the player from both team but the referee Mr. Webb.... He make some shocking decision against both team.



I think Netherlands suffer the worst... Mr. Puyol should have gotten a second yellow card for pulling back Mr. Robben. Not Awarding a corner to Netherlands then the final ball deflected off the Spain wall add to the frustration of the Netherlands player. Even worst Spain scored on the next play.



It was a rough game from the 1st minute. A flying kick by Nigel De Jong on Alonso look like wrestling match more then football match.



With the amount of yellow card show by Mr. Webb sure someone will get send off..And it happen in the 111th minute where John Heitinga got send off and the Orange down with 10 men.



This is when Spain take advantage, Iniesta score a superb goal set up by Cesc Fabregas who come on as substitute. Iniesta was name the Man of the Match



Spain now proudly hold both the Euro 2008 and FIFA 2010 World Cup.

Quarter Final

World Cup 2010 is moving into Quarter Final. After seeing "Eng Kok" lose to "Teik Kok" 4-1 is kind of sad. "Eng Kok" play badly. Is it FC fault or the Player fault? Hmmm...

There will be 2 days of resting before the Quarter Final start.

With the like of "Huat Kok" and "EE Ta Li" already out of World Cup during group stage, will "Eng Kok" follow "Han Kok" and "Bee Kok" pack bag go home on round 16?



So Who is the player to watch and key battle in this "Eng Kok" VS "Teik Kok"


England player to watch: Jermain Defoe. With only one goal against a major nation, and that being in an international friendly against Netherlands, questions remain over Defoe's pedigree on the biggest of stages. Goals against Andorra, Kahzakstan and Trinidad & Tobago and all well and good, but Germany will not allow the same time and space. His match-winning performance against Slovenia provided a timely boost, and his ability to shake off the shackles of the German back line may shape England's hopes.

Germany player to watch: Miroslav Klose. Second only to Gerd Muller in Germany's all-time scoring chart, Klose went into the finals with questions to answer after a dismal season with Bayern Munich. A goal in the first game against Australia relieved some of the pressure but he was then controversially sent off against Serbia. England have yet to face a quality forward yet in the finals, with Robert Green's gaffe against USA the only goal conceded, and despite Klose's troubles, he is a tournament performer and his display could be the difference.

Key battle: Germany's left-back v James Milner. The fact that we do not know if Badstuber, Boateng, Jansen or even Lahm will play on the left for Germany must pose problems for Low's organisation at the back. After playing like a rabbit in the headlights against USA, Milner was dangerous on the wing against Slovenia and provided the cross for Defoe to guide home the winner. If Milner can again impress, up against Germany's "problem position", England's forwards may have plenty to feed off.

Stats: England have played Germany four times at the World Cup, and each game has finished level after 90 minutes, with three extending to extra-time and one being decided on penalty kicks. England have taken 29 corners so far in the World Cup - more than any other team after the end of the group stage.

Switzerland stun Spain

Gelson Fernandes' scrappy second-half goal gave Switzerland a shock 1-0 victory over World Cup favourites Spain

Man of the Match: Stephan Lichtsteiner
- The Lazio defender epitomised everything about this organised, outstanding Switzerland display. Throwing himself in front of everything - none more so than his excellent diving header to clear a corner in injury time - Lichtsteiner was a rock.

Spain verdict:
Without doubt Spain were brilliant, playing with style and the kind of attacking pace we have seldom seem so far at this World Cup. They would surely have won just about any other match. That doesn't change the result, one which puts them in serious danger of finishing no better than second in the group and a much-feared date with Brazil in the second round. Spain v Chile on the final group day now looks huge.

Switzerland verdict:
Yes, Spain were good, but Switzerland produced an outstanding defensive performance to keep out one of the most complete attacking line-ups in the World. The Swiss, with Honduras and Chile still to play, appear almost certain to go through now and after this display they will deserve it. Superb.

Could do better: David Villa.
He fluffed his lines in the first half and then seemed off the pace after that. While he is used to playing as the lone striker in international football, he looked lost at the Durban Stadium. The top scorer at Euro 2008 will have to find his scoring boots to dig Spain out of this hole.

Stat attack:
Spain created more chances on goal (24) without scoring than any other team in this World Cup.

Vuvuzela!!!!!!

As u watch the live world cup match on tv u will hear sound like bee or air honk. It very unpleasant to the ear.

World Cup organising committee head Danny Jordaan on Sunday did not rule out banning vuvuzelas, the noisy plastic trumpets which have proved a hit with fans in South Africa but threaten to deafen players and viewers alike.

Criticism of the vuvuzelas has been almost as loud as the instruments themselves with broadcasting companies complaining the din is almost drowning out commentary.
"We've tried to get some order," said Jordaan.

"We have asked for no vuvuzelas during national anthems or during stadium announcements. I know it's a difficult question," he added, saying that "we're trying to manage the best we can.

"We heard from the broadcasters and individuals and it's something we are evaluating on an on-going base.

Jordaan told the BBC in an interview that he had to consider the option of banning the trumpets.

"If there are grounds to do so, yes," he said, asked if a ban was an option.
France captain Patrice Evra said the incessant noise was a factor in his side's poor display in their draw with Uruguay.

According to Evra: "We can't sleep at night because of the vuvuzelas. People start playing them from 6 a.m. We can't hear one another out on the pitch because of them," the Frenchman added.

Jordaan said: "I would prefer singing" and called on fans to chant instead.
"In the days of the struggle (against apartheid) we were singing, all through our history. It's our ability to sing that inspired and drove the emotions."


The organizer should ban the vuvuzela.
