Lucky 8!!!

CHINA proved they are still the best team in the world when they put up a classy show to lift their eighth Thomas Cup.

They did it in superb style by beating Indonesia 3-0 in the final.

A day ago the women's team were shocked 1-3 by South Korea in the Uber Cup final. It was the first time that China had lost the Uber Cup in 12 years.

Lin Dan showed his mastery once again when he carved out a sensational 21-7, 21-14 win over Taufik

Indonesia, known for their prowess in the doubles, had a great chance to level the tie when Olympic and world champions Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan took to the court next. Instead, they were given a rude shock - losing 23-25, 21-16, 12-21 to Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng.

Chen Jin took on Simon Santoso in the second singles. Chen Jin win 21-17, 21-7 to seal the tie.

Dragon Fury!!!

The Best of Malaysia could not come close to the mighty China in Thomas Cup semi-final at Putra Stadium.

A Superb win by Lin Dan over world No. 1 Datuk Lee Chong Wei in the first Singles sparked the total collapse for Malaysia who never looked like ending their 18-year wait since 1992.

The superb confident Lin dan pulled off a stunning 21-17, 21-8 win over Datuk Lee in 45 minute to get the crucial first point. To cap off a magnificent display, he took off his shirt and performed a popping dance.

Hope were high on KKK & TBH to level the tie but Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng are too hot too handle, going down 21-15, 21-10 in 36 minute.
National coach Rexy pinned high hopes on KKK & TBH with the home advantage, they were beaten mercilessly by the fast attacking Chinese pair.

With the defeats of Datuk Lee, KKK & TBH, the battle is as well as over for Malaysia.
As expected, Choon Hann found his younger opponent Chen Jin a tough nut to crack. Choon Hann wrapped up his campaign in his seventh Finals without a single win for Malaysia after running out of steam against Chen Jin, going down 21-16, 21-7

The defeat saw Malaysia losing 0-3 to China in the semi-finals.

The Thomas Cup Final will be between China VS Indonesia
The Uber Cup Final will be between China VS South Korea
