Poisonous plant(毒植物)

Don't know how TRUE but better be safe than sorry.

Do you have this plant at home? beware of it coz too hazard to health! Hey frenz...some of you don't read Chinese language but never mind, pls take note coz this is really too alarming to be ignored & i must share w/u guys...

Basically this article warns abt the highly poisonous plant as shown below...so pls be aware now that it seems too hazardous to be placed at home, in office or anywhere near our dwelling places!

Apart fr the poison in the sap of the leaves which causes irritation, inflamation or swelling of the face & jaw esp those with allergic skin when come into contact, this plant is useless in terms of air purification, absorption of other harmful or even cancer causing gases in the air e.g.CO2, CH2O(Formaldehyde),C2-H-Cl3(Trichloroethylene)...in fact, even the soil where the plant used to grow wld also turn poisonous! So, don't use the soil to plant veggies. Even, insects, ants will not go near to this plant.

Oh dear! too bad, so sad :( don't u think?....such a nice, strong yet elegant plant liked by many just like myself! Incidentally, the Chinese particularly loves this plant owing to it's common name "Gold Coin" tree I guess?? & its glamor & popularity are so amazing during CNY time...esp w/little red ribbons tied to its branches!

Anyway for now, just to be safe, probably we can only be "distant admirers" of this lovely plant ya!

Take care...GOD BLESS!

Faulty IC replacement and Passport Application.

Since I have 2 days leave b4 I start my new job, I went to JPN to replace my faulty IC and change the address as well.

I went to the JPN office at Butterworth around 11 am. There not much people there. You need to make sure u have all the thing before u go take number.

Things needed to replace faulty IC is
a) IC (original and photocopy)
b) replacement form.

Changing address u need to bring one utility bill (any month also ok) with new address.

After u fill in the form u go to the counter and take number and have a seat. When ur number is call go to the designated counter and give all the document to the person. They will process everything to u.

It only took me 15 minute to complete the whole process.

The next day I went to the immigration office to do my passport. This is the first time I doing a passport. The last time I go out of Malaysia is like maybe 15 years ago. Last time I have my passport attach to my mom passport.

I went to the immigration office around 10am. There a lot of people there seating down waiting already.

Thing to bring:
a) IC (original and photocopy) **(If u replace ur IC like me askfor JPN 09 resit when u do ur IC without that u cannot do passport)
b) 2 passport size photo
c) fill in the form
d) CASH - RM100 32 page 2 years
RM300 32 page 5 years
RM600 64 page 5 years

After fill in the form take ur number and wait for ur turn. There are TV around for u to see but there no free WIFI.

Just pass all the document to them and they will check if u are blacklisted. They will process everything and u just seat and wait for ur turn to pay the money (cash only no Cradit Card)
After pay there will tell u what time came back and take the passport. (Normally 2 hour)

If u applied in Butterworth, u can spend the 2 hour in Tesco Extra. That the nearest shopping place to go.

Its kind of easy now to applied Passport and replace ur old faulty IC.
No picture in this post to protect my security. hehe..

I will be going to SG in Feb.

String Height — Raise It For Tone!

In this installment of Gibson Tone Tips we’re going to take a look at a simple factor of any guitar’s set up, but one that newer players often approached from too a narrow standpoint. When a learner first picks up the electric guitar, he or she is often most drawn to an instrument that has the strings as low to the fingerboard as is functionally possible, because this is easier on tender, unfamiliar fingers, and makes that guitar feel more comfortable in the beginner’s hand. From this point on, our “feel preference” is often set, and we take this “low action=great guitar” bias with us from guitar to guitar, throughout our playing career, imposing it forever after on guitars that we set up ourselves.

Certainly low action makes a guitar easier to play, and for some styles it really is a necessity. What I would like to address here, though, are the high incidences of guitarists who perpetually chase “the perfect tone”, while continually focusing on string height purely as a function of playing feel, rather than as a factor of tone, which it most certainly is. The old set-up rule that you “get your strings as low as you can without buzzing” seems to make perfect sense. Set up to that criteria, however, while your strings might not buzz noticeably, their vibrational arc is more than likely still inhibited by the proximity of the frets. Also, play harder than usual — which, if you’re like me, you will often find yourself doing in live situations, even if you’re not aware of it — and that set up does also lead to a little unwanted buzzing, though your amp settings, the energy of the live gig, and any effects in the chain might help to mask it.

Just for fun, try taking this inverted approach to setting string height: instead of getting them as low as you can without inducing serious buzzing, set your strings as high as you can have them and still be able to play with some reasonable facility. Doing this correctly might also require adjusting string intonation at the bridge saddles, because their angle and distance across their speaking length is now changing slightly, too, but for now just try it as is, in case you choose to return your action to point one. (Note that raising string height at the bridge might need to be coordinated with a tweak of neck relief at the truss rod, although I will leave that to your own best judgment as there is plenty of debated between the flat-neck/slight-relief crowds, and this determination will depend upon your own preferences.)

Play your guitar a while like this, and notice how much more ring, richness, and sustain you get out of it. The strings should now vibrate for close to the full potential of the instrument (which, of course, also depends upon factors such as nut and bridge type and condition, body style, neck and body woods, and so forth). Put simply, your tone is likely to sound bigger and fuller, and to bloom with a broader voice and a longer note decay than previously. If this as-high-as-you-can-hack-it setting is a little too much for every-day playing, try backing the strings down a hair at a time, and hopefully you can find a height that offers a healthy compromise. Sure, it’s also possible you preferred it the way it was before you adjusted it at all, and if your playing style involves a lot of speed riffing, hammer-ons and pull-offs, or extreme bending, you might simply require that as-low-as-it-goes actions (and will very likely mask its drawbacks with some judicious high-gain tone). With any luck, though, you’ll have discovered an easy means of achieving a fatter tone, without purchasing or modifying a single thing.

Higher strings can potentially induce some drawbacks that you will need to minimize. Before settling on your new action, you want to determine that strings don’t go out of tune in any fretting positions up and down the neck. You also need to ensure that using a capo, if you ever play with one, doesn’t throw all strings out of pitch too badly. Also note that if this experimentation results in raising your strings considerably from their previous position — and your guitar remains playable after doing so — you might also need to adjust your pickup height slightly. But, note that lowering the pickups further from the strings can often also help the strings to vibrate more freely, so leaving the pickups lower might be adding a double bonus to your new playing set up. Play with the options and see what works for you, and that will yield the “best right answer” for each individual player — and once you have achieved it for you, be sure to check and change your intonation, as necessary. If low action floats your boat, great, but it’s worth knowing that there’s a wealth of tone hiding in that thin slice of air between string and fingerboard.

Testimonies of Metro Tabernacle Church

I receive this Very encouraging testimonies from my friend.

Anyway, the reason for writing is to encourage each and everyone of us. My colleague, Celia Tham is a member of the Metro Tabernacle church. This morning (my 1st day back at work) she shared with me the wonderful testimonies that has happened since the burning of their church. And I would like to share the same with you all too.

1) The night before the church was burned their Pastor was at the church past 11pm because he wanted to check his emails.. He is a very hardworking person and has a habit of wanting to complete his work as much as possible. But he is also very sensitive to the Holy Spirit. When he got to the church premise and was about to swipe the card to open the door, he had a terrible stomachache that he had never had before. He knew that the Lord was telling him to go back home and he obeyed and left the church premise. It was past midnight that the church was torched. If he had not obeyed he would have been burned alive and would not be able to live to tell this wonderful testimony. God still has work for him to do on earth. His time was not up yet.

2) The MTC had trouble moving to the new premises in Batu Caves. They had been waiting for approval from the Local Authorities and is still pending. Then they were facing financial difficulties as they needed to buy new furniture for the new premise. They had been raising funds on their own to relocate to Batu Caves but had been stuck due to approval permits and raising more $ to buy new furniture and equipment. So when the church was burned it was all the old stuff that they had been wanting to get rid off! And our Govt compensated them RM500K and CIMB and many other donations started to pour in. From an adversity it turned into a blessing! Our God truly provides!

3) Celia has been rejoicing in the office and shared with my MD. Today at our Management meeting, the MD said I had never seen anyone so full of joy when the church got burned down but instead she said it was a blessing.

4) Celia said the church leaders and members shook hands with Najib and they released forgiveness for whatever that has happened in the past. She said Najib felt very welcomed at the church. Hishamuddin commented that during his visit he has never seen so many smiling faces when their church had just been burned down. To God be the glory!

5) They also requested for the Batu Caves new church premise to be turned into a place of worship and not a commercial zone. The Selangor Govt is looking into it and the MB, Khalid gave his assurance that he will look into it personally.

6) The Metro Tabernacle worship service appeared in the International Herald Tribune (they were on international news) and the photo of the worshippers with their hands raised was taken in the Wisma MCA hall. My MD asked what was happening and Celia told him we were praising and worshipping God. MD didnt know that this was how we praised and worshipped God.

7) A few years ago a visiting speaker from overseas prophesied that the MTC would be in international news. At that time the congregation thought that their Pastor would be traveling around the world to preach as he was already doing that but she said now they understood what the speaker said. I told Celia if it was the doing of man, God would not be glorified but when it is not of man, then God would be glorified like in this situation.

8) It was good to see many church leaders of other denominations coming together at the MTC worship service over the last few days, united and praying together.

9) Lastly, sometime last year Celia approached me and said that she has been praying and she was convicted in her heart to give me an invitation to ask our church/cell to partner with them in prayer with regards to the move to the new church premise in Batu Caves. They were facing a lot of spiritual warfare. I remember sharing with the cell. We didnt know very much about them then. God is moving amongst us and we could choose to obey his call to pray or disregard and miss the excitement and blessing

I hope the above sharing would have encouraged us all to press on and serve our Almighty God. MTC has found favour with God and so has many other churches. We must increase our faith to the next level and stay united. PRAYER is the only powerful weapon God has given to all of us. Lets use it mightily for His Glory!

GB,

Jac

Tube Distortion: What It Is, and Why We Love It

We talk of tubes as being the “amplifiers within our amplifiers”, but the fact is, while tubes do complete the vital mission of amplifying our guitar signals, they do a whole slew of other things at the same time that add up to so much more than that. Let’s take a quick look at why we really love tubes so much, and what they do for our tone.

These devices—vacuum tubes, to give them their full name, or thermionic valves in the UK (tubes or valves for short)—have enjoyed such longevity in the realm of guitar amplification not simply because they are capable of making an audio signal louder, but because of the way in which they make that signal louder. Most good electric guitar tones, and that includes virtually all of the legendary sounds recorded by myriad guitars heroes over the past six decades, rely to some extent on tube distortion to give them body and texture. Even amid guitar tones that we consider “clean”, there’s usually a modicum of natural tube distortion that adds thickness and increases the harmonic richness of each note. To hear an electric guitar played truly clean, plug into a very powerful amplifier such as a PA amp or a large hi-fi amp or a studio or PA mixer and play at a relatively low volume, monitoring yourself on large hi-fi speakers or headphones respectively. That thin, clinical sound your beloved instrument produces is the sound of a truly clean electric guitar. In order to give it the punch, sweetness, juiciness, and dynamics that we all love in great guitar tones, you need to process it with some distortion, and nothing distorts more sweetly, juicily, and dynamically than tubes—and the beautiful part is, they do it naturally.

The reason we love tube distortion, whether used very lightly, moderately, or slathered on like BBQ sauce at a Texas ribs joint, is because of the way these devices distort the audio signal when pushed into clipping. “Clipping” is a term used to describe how an amplifier responds when pushed beyond its ability to produce a clean signal. All clipping is a form of distortion, but the way in which different amplifiers clip defines the character, and thus the appeal (or lack thereof), of that distortion. When pushed past their limits, solid-state devices clip a signal suddenly, which results, in audio terms, in a harsh, jagged distortion, and one that is usually not very pleasant to the ear.

Tubes, on the other hand, clip relatively smoothly and gradually when pushed further and further toward their operational limits. The result is a rounder, warmer, fuller-bodied distortion that is also smoother and more “musical” than that produced by a solid-state device. View two different sound waves on a scope, one from a solid-state amplifier and one from a tube amp, and you can actually see the “squareness” and “roundness” of the respective signals. Also, in the process of distorting, even when distorting just a little, a tube also adds harmonics to the fundamental note or notes in the signal, which gives the guitar tone added texture and dimension.

When you’re playing through a tube amp with anything from a little to a lot of distortion, the extra harmonics that are added to each note layer up to build a sonic picture that is significantly bigger than the original, fundamental note. This is the enticing “ear candy” that any truly great guitar tone presents, the kind of sound that sucks you in and makes you beg for more—and we owe it all to the way in which tubes distort.

Of course, many guitarists today play through modern solid-state amps or digital “modeling” amps, and many of these are capable of creating some powerful tones these days, too (although the majority of professionals out there still use tube amps more often than not). When you dial up a juicy tone through one of these tube-less amps, however, you’re still benefiting—in a second-hand manner—from tube distortion. Digital amps come right out and say it in the amp selections on their preset menus, but analog solid-state amps have long “modeled” tube amps, too. In order replicate the desirable characteristics of tube-amp distortion, solid-state guitar amps incorporate a lot of extra processing to shape, smooth, fur up, and round off the signal… in short, to help them to sound less transistorized, and more tube-like. Many of the good ones do an excellent job of it, too, but by and large they are still chasing a tone that tube amps produce simply and naturally, and usually with far fewer components. Tubes… bless their dirty little souls.

I’m not gonna talk about the Allah issue that’s going on in Malaysia right now. I think religion has cause so much of the world’s problems that the less airtime we give, the better.

I would like to thank GOD for His endless love, for the life He gave, for the second chance, for His priceless grace, for His healing hands, for the gift of peace, for the blessed hope and for the faith to believe.

For all the reason above I praise You, I worship You, I live to tell

I love You Lord with all my heart
You've given me a brand new start
And I just want to sing this song to You
It goes like this the fourth the fifth
The minor fall the major lift
My heart and soul are praising
Hallelujah

I know that You're the God above
You're filling me with grace and love
And I just want to say thank You to You
You pulled me from the miry clay
You've given me a brand new day
Now all that I can say is

The Capo—A Hand Where You Need It

A basic, unassuming accessory that used to be part of every “beginners’” guitar kit, the capo is an underappreciated, but extremely useful, piece of equipment that can come to the rescue of experienced players and newbees alike. Just in case this is new territory for you, let’s first cover the basics of what a capo is (capo pros, please be patient!), then we’ll explore a few tips and tricks.

Put simply, a capo is a movable clamp that attaches to the neck of the guitar to bar the strings at the desired fret, essentially shortening the playing length of all strings simultaneously. Players use capos for a variety of reasons. They are extremely useful for quickly changing the key of a song without having to transpose the chords that you might already be familiar with in a different key, if, for example, you’re backing a singer who decides on the spur of the moment to change the key of a tune to better suit his or her vocal range. A capo also provides an excellent means of achieving certain desirable open-string positions for riffs or chords that need to be played higher up the neck to fit a particular song. Plenty of experienced players use capos for a wide range of advanced techniques, but a capo is a handy tool for the beginner, too, and makes it possible to play a great many songs in a wide range of keys with knowledge of only a few basic chords. So you only know your first-position G, C, D and Em so far, but want to play a song along with other musicians who do it in the key of A major? No problem—slap on a capo at the second fret, and away you go.

Capos are indispensable to a wide range of more advanced playing styles. Players of country styles that want to access low, open-string runs in a range of keys to produce the characteristic bass-runs (often called the “G run”) of these genres will use capos to great effect. Also, a capo is an essential accessory for many blues slide players who use open tunings, enabling them to reset the neck, if you will, to suit the open and barred positions required by different songs without totally retuning the guitar. Likewise, many fingerstyle players and proponents of DADGAD and other alternate tunings would find life getting dull pretty fast without a capo.

A wide variety of capos are available. The most affordable takes the form of an elastic strap that wraps around the neck and clips in place to keep a firm rubber pad with steel backing in place behind the fret. These do the job adequately, and might be fine for the occasional capo user, but they can be awkward to position and reposition. More elaborate models, made by companies such as Kyser and Shubb, are made out of steel or die cast aluminum, with springs or thumb screws to provide the string-clamping tension. If you find a capo useful—and many players do—it’s probably worth investing in one of a decent quality, because these are usually easier to put on and take off the guitar, and frequently provide more even string tension and better tuning accuracy as well.

Once you’ve got your hands on a capo, you need to know how to use it. For most guitars, a capo works best when positioned fairly snugly up beside the fret at which you want to stop the strings (note, a capo is never placed right on top of the fret, but just behind it, on the nut-side of the desired fret). This positioning keeps the strings more secure on most guitars, and if your guitar was in tune before you positioned the capo—and its intonation is good—it should still be relatively in tune with the capo on. If your fingerboard has the higher frets that are popular with some players today (for example, Dunlop 6105s and the like), you might need to take extra care in positioning the capo, and perhaps move it further back from the fret, to avoid pulling the strings out of tune. Also, try to avoid tugging strings sideways, or generally altering the spacing between each string, when you position the capo, as this will both pull you out of tune, and create an awkward feel on the fingerboard. You can always re-tune once your capo is on, and sometimes this is necessary, but ideally you can clamp the thing on and off again with no need for readjustment, and no interruption to the flow of your performance.

Standard capos can be used to execute a few “tricks”, too. Consider that you perhaps want to play some higher-position chords in the key of E, but it would be nice to retain a deep low-E in the bass. Clamp a Kyser-style capo on at the 7th fret to hold down the five higher strings only (A through high-E), leaving low-E open. Now barring the D, G and B strings at the 9th fret gives you an easy E major chord with a big low-E in the bass, along with access to all kinds of interesting riffs that would be difficult to achieve without the capo in place. Or, tune your guitar to open-G (D-G-D-G-B-D, low to high), then place the capo on the 7th fret, again leaving the lowest string un-clamped, and you’ve got a cool, unusual positioning for an alternate D-major tuning with a resonant low-D at the bottom. Play around with your own tunings and positions, and you’ll come up with plenty of others of your own. Happy clamping!

GST = Go Squeeze Them

How many of us have known this fact…………………

Go, Squeeze Them (GST).

Our Rakyat do not fully understand the implication of GST, until it is implemented and prices of goods spiralling upwards. By then it is too late.

A rich country like Singapore introduced GST at 3%.
A poor Malaysia wants to implement GST at 4%

GST is a multi-stage tax system. ( TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS !!!!!)

Everything the sellers sold, from manufacturer, wholesaler to retailers, collect GST for the government. Unlike the the current sales and service tax (SST) is a single-stage tax. Only one party along the supply chain collect the SST for the government. If the manufacturer collects the tax, the rest are not allowed to collect.

Just imagine every seller add GST when they sell. ( READ N TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS !!!!! )

For example: The current Sales Tax for Toilet soap is 10%. With GST, the manufacturer pays 4% to the govt when he sells it to the Wholesaler, the Wholesaler pays the govt another 4% when he sells to a Retailer; and when the Retailer sells it to the Consumer, he pays another 4% to the govt. The Consumer actually ends up paying more than 12% in cummulative GSTs for the same piece of soap or > 20% more in taxes. (10% vs 12%+++)
1) Manufacture to Wholesaler - RM 1.00 + 4% ( RM 0.04 ) = 1.04
2) Wholesaler to Retailer - RM 1.04 + 4% ( RM 0.42) = 1.082
3) Retailer to Consumer ( idiots like you and me )
- RM 1.082 + 4% ( RM0.043) = 1.125
YOU AND I HAVE TO PAY A TOTAL TAX OF 12.5% or RM 0.125 FOR EVERY RINGGIT OF THE MANUFACTURERS PRICE ON THIS THREE TIERS SYSTEM

If the supply chain is longer than 3 stages, the consumer ends up paying 4% more for each addition stage. Eg Manufacturer to Agent (4%) to Wholsaler (4%) to Retailer (4%) to Consumer (4%).. Total 16% ++++ (vs 10%) or 60% more in taxes!!!!
( This final price that idiots like you and me have to pay is
RM 1.17 equivalent to 17% TAX or RM0.17 for every Ringgit of the manufacturers price) on this FOUR tiers system

If the GST is not stopped, the Rakyat will ended up paying very very very high prices for everything. ( that is why it is call the GO, SQUEEZE THEM - GST )

The Promise of HD Graphics - Intel Core i5-661

2009 was supposed to be the year we got the first processor with an integrated graphics core on the chip package itself. Sort of like what AMD promised way back in 2008 for its Fusion initiative. Things however did not go according to the roadmap and we have been informed that it won't be till 2011 before Fusion becomes reality.

Unfortunately for AMD, its vision of a processing unit merging the CPU and GPU has now become reality for its biggest rival, Intel. Broadly speaking of course, since AMD's implementation of Fusion could very well differ greatly from what Intel is launching today. But the idea of integrating a graphics core with the processor, and not onto the motherboard as is traditionally done, is the same, at least from the consumer's point of view.

In fact, even Intel was promising this integration in 2009, with Havendale the codename for this family of processors, which would be based on Intel's current Nehalem CPU architecture. However, the company decided that its shift to 32nm production was moving along so well that it could afford to skip the 45nm Havendale and jump directly to its successor, codenamed Clarkdale.

That leads us up to today's launch of six new desktop models in the Clarkdale family. (Intel is releasing new mobile processors based on the same 32nm technology called Arrandale at the same time). All of them are dual-core processors using the LGA1156 socket and thus, even more so than the previous Lynnfield, CPU launch, are squarely targeted at the mainstream and business users. Like Lynnfield, these processors are equipped with Turbo Boost that will increase the processor clock speeds by quite a few bumps when dealing with applications that are unable to use the full complement of processor cores. The Core i5 series of these Clarkdale processors also comes with HyperThreading to better deal with today's more multi-threaded environment. Below are the new models announced and some of their more relevant specifications.

As you may have noticed, while these processors are quite similar to Lynnfield (same amount of L3 cache per core, memory support and Turbo Boost), the integrated graphics core differentiates the two. Intel may have managed to shrink the processor core to 32nm, but the graphics, memory and the PCIe controllers (remember, since Lynnfield, they are now integrated with the processor cores) are still on a 45nm process. Therefore, if you ever peel open the Clarkdale processor's heat spreader package, you'll find two distinct dies as shown below:

So what are the advantages of having the graphics core integrated with the processor? The main issue here is cost, as according to Intel, moving from the three-chip package solution of the previous Intel architecture (CPU with Northbridge and Southbridge) to the two-chip package (CPU and Platform Control Hub) means a 30% savings in terms of the package area, which translates into reduced manufacturing costs.

The other issue here, power savings, has more to do with the 32nm manufacturing process used for the processor component in the Clarkdale. For those who are counting, the graphics portion too benefits from going to 45nm since the previous X4500 series integrated graphics core on the G45 chipset for instance was built using a 65nm process. So it's likely that we'll see significant power savings with these new processors, especially when the maximum TDP rating for these new models is just 87W.

Finally, these new processors all come with a new x86 instruction set meant to improve the encryption/decryption speed for AES. Applications which benefit from the new instructions include file encryption utilities like Windows' BitLocker.

As the first processor to have its graphics core right beside it, Clarkdale can be a bit underwhelming when it comes to its key feature - graphics. Of course, expectations should be lowered instantly on seeing its 0'integrated' nature, more so when the graphics architecture is a third-gen evolution of Intel's familiar Graphics Media Accelerator.

From a pure performance point of view, the new Intel HD Graphics is a slight upgrade over the GMA X4500HD, even in its fastest (900MHz) incarnation on the Core i5-661. What it does significantly better is media playback, where it certainly manages to justify its HD tag. Our Blu-ray playback may not have been very impressive, but the beta nature of both the drivers and the CyberLink application means we won't be nitpicking in this area to pass a judgment this round.

Besides, CPU utilization is not such a big deal for users once there's no discernible lag like what we experienced with the i5-661. Unless you're watching a movie and rendering some animation or encoding videos in the background, in which case we recommend a dedicated graphics card with a quad-core processor. Instead, other features like dual-stream decode, dual HDMI output support and for true HD enthusiasts, bitstreaming of audio CODECs matter more. These are all found on the Intel HD Graphics and arguably put it on par with its rivals when it comes to media playback needs.

As a processor, the dual-core nature of the Core i5-661 meant that it was rarely going to challenge the higher-end quad-core processors, even with Turbo Boost and HyperThreading. Most of its better scores were naturally recorded for system suites like SYSmark 2007 and not heavily multi-threaded applications. In fact, from some of our benchmarks
, we can't help but wonder if the smaller L3 cache on the Core i5-661 affected its performance compared to the older Core 2 Duo E8500. Plus, the memory controller located off the main CPU die might add on to latency that could show up on more intensive tests, such as our memory testing in PCMark Generally, one would rank the Core i5-661 below the Core i5-750, which would appear to be the case based on Intel's own nomenclature.

This brings us to its cost. With a US$196 price tag for 1k units, the Core i5-661 will likely be competing against Intel's own Core i5-750. And like we said, it won't surpass the quad-core. Still, we hope the new H55 motherboards are competitively prices to give these new Clarkdale processors more value. Already, unlike the i5-750, the i5-661 has a decent mainstream graphics core inside, which should be adequate for some users, including businesses. Not forgetting the impressively low power consumption figures we recorded at both idle and peak loads.

Therefore, there's certainly a place in Intel's rank for these new Clarkdale processors such as in large business organizations. Media theater enthusiasts too should be among those eagerly awaiting these processors. For consumers who have a decent desktop or a HTPC setup already, there's much more potential in the mobile version, Arrandale, which we will hopefully cover in depth once we get some hands-on with an actual unit.

WORSHIP THAT MOVES THE HEART OF GOD- BEN FIELDING (Hillsong)

I’ve just been up in Brisbane at our Hillsong Brisbane Campus for the weekend. I’ve got to say, I’m impressed by our team.. Bright are the days ahead in Brisbane.

I was sharing with the team in Brisbane on Thursday night on the kind of worship that moves the heart of God. This is obviously a crucial consideration for our worship teams. We want to honor God by developing the gifts He has given, though even more than writing and learning songs, creating stage designs, mixing sound, etc, we must be aware and moved by what it is that God is looking for.

Worship That Moves The Heart Of God

Psalm 51 says:

15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise.

 16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise.

I love the way E.Peterson puts it in the Message:

“Unbutton my lips, dear God; I’ll let loose with your praise. Going through the motions doesn’t please you, a flawless performance is nothing to you. I learned God-worship when my pride was shattered. Heart-shattered lives ready for love don’t for a moment escape God’s notice.”

An Act Of Worship Is Not Enough

Our worship must involve a move of our own hearts

I remember planning my proposal to my now wife Karalee. Yes, it was a successful proposal. It is interesting how the proposer, who creates an elaborate plan, then executes it with intricate detail, will often retell the story with particular emphasis on how successful the plan itself was. My proposal plans were elaborate. I flew to London, where Karalee was staying, to surprise her on the banks of the river Thames with a diamond ring. There were a lot of details to be taken care of. But imagine in all that, if I had missed the point, that I had never expressed my heart, my love for her, that I had rushed the experience with my concern for the next part of my plan. “Quick take the ring, we have dinner plans in 5 minutes…”.

Similarly our worship must involve a move and expression of our own hearts. God is not after a heartless, obligated act of worship, rather, a move towards genuine humility and an awareness of our need for Him and His grace. (Read Romans 5 and 6, it provides some more perspective).

Amos 5 says:

21 “I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies. 22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offering, I will have no regard for them. 23 Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps! 24 But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!

Quite a wake up call. The problem here is that with one hand God’s people are oppressing, and with the other they are offering sacrifices.

Our worship must also involve a move towards justice, towards restoring our own communities and bringing our world to rights. In God’s eyes there should be no discontinuity between singing our songs, and standing alongside someone in need; rather with one hand raised to God in worship, let the other be extended to the poor.

God’s Heart Is Moved By Us

I imagine God receiving our worship, like a dad who receives a picture from his young son. A picture of a cat, that comes out looking nothing like a cat, with a use of colours that will never and have never been seen amongst the feline population. Though when you go into that dad’s office, up on the wall, with pride of place, sits that very picture. An inaccurate, slightly tainted attempt, received as if it were fine art.

God’s wisdom confounds the wisdom of the world. He sees beauty where we do not.

Where To From Here?

We must continue to move well beyond viewing worship as 20mins of singing on a weekend, or even our greatest and most exciting projects. God wants all we are. He is looking for worshippers who will come in spirit and in truth, with hearts of humility and transparency, people desperate to meet with Him.

So let us be a people attentive to the point of obsession with God, the object and subject of our worship, desperately seeking His will and His purposes, and let us do our best with what we put our hands to, to the glory of his name.

2010 is here!!!

2009 is a past now. 2010 is a new beginning.

I end the year same like last year together with all the Church member on watchnite service together with the same worship team.
It will be the last time Mr. G playing with team 1 as he have been pull over to team 3 because of lack of musician(God please provide more musician)

Having dinner together with Mr.L and Mr.G at 747 Cafe(YMCA)before practice start.
The practice run smoothly as everyone came early to prepare our self to praise and worship the Lord on this last day of the year.

There are total 15 song but we only practice 12 song as there only 3 section of sing only.

Have a great time playing together with the worship team as we usher 2010 with some blasting song. All of us was on full volume as we count down to 2010.

Everything must come to an end. We ended with blasting instrumental Christian Rock tune which get Mr.L, Mr.G, Mr.N and me very high!!!! Hope we can have this kind of fun time every weekend.
